Carolyn N. Dolan, CFA
Executive Vice President, Head of Direct Client Investments
Carolyn was a co-founder and a Managing Principal of Samson Capital Advisors LLC. Samson was a privately-owned investment management firm that was founded in 2004 by senior investment professionals from OFFITBANK, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan. Prior to its acquisition by Fiera Capital, Samson managed over $7 billion in assets in customized fixed income for affluent families and their foundations, endowments and corporations. Carolyn was a member of the Management Committee, and the Chairman of the Principals Meeting, She was also a Portfolio Manager and served as a member of the Investment Committee.
Prior to Samson, Carolyn was a cofounder of OFFITBANK, which in 2002 after the firm’s merger with Wachovia, was restructured and changed to OFFIT Investment Group. At Wachovia, Carolyn was a Senior Vice President and the Senior Managing Director of OFFIT Investment Group. In this role, she led the firm’s 25 person Tax Sensitive Fixed Income management team; while in this role, the OFFIT three municipal funds achieved and maintained Morningstar 5 star ratings. Prior to OFFITBANK’s purchase by Wachovia, Carolyn was responsible for the firm’s high net-worth investment group and was a member of the Management Committee. She was integrally involved in the management and analysis of taxable and tax-exempt portfolios and managed OFFITBANK’s New York Municipal Bond Fund, which achieved a Morningstar 5 star rating during the five years that Carolyn managed the account. Carolyn was on the firm’s investment strategy committee and portfolio review committee. She represented OFFITBANK as a trustee on various fiduciary accounts and worked extensively with clients on asset allocation and manager selection decisions.
From 1978 to 1983 she was associated with Julius Baer Securities, Oppenheimer Capital Corporation and Equitable Life Assurance as a portfolio manager, investment analyst and quantitative analyst. At Equitable, she was a senior team member in the restructuring of a multi-billion dollar Taft-Hartley Fund.
She currently serves as a Trustee of Fordham University and serves on the Finance/Investment and Audit Committees. She has served on the boards of the Cathedral School of St. John the Divine and Marymount College. Carolyn is presently on the boards of Mutual of America Funds, Inc., and Market Street Trust Company. She is a member of The Economic Club of New York.
Carolyn received an MS Degree from the Columbia School of Social Work in 1977 and an MBA from Columbia University in 1978. Carolyn graduated from Marymount College in 1968 and was a social worker for the state of New Jersey from 1968 to 1975. She is also a CFA charterholder.
Executive Vice President, Operations, Technology and Control
Amy previously worked at JP Morgan, where she was a managing director and spent 18 years in key leadership roles in the Asset Management Division, the Private Bank, Chase Wealth Management and the Investment Bank. With JP Morgan since 1998, Amy’s leadership roles spanned business integration, process re-engineering and product and service development in an organization that has grown from under 30,000 employees to over 230,000 employees through organic and strategic initiatives. Amy began her career with Bankers Trust in 1995 and she has over 20 years of experience in the finance industry.
Amy received her MBA in Finance from NYU and her BS degree in Business and minor in Labor and Industrial Relations from Pennsylvania State University.
Vice President, Strategic Integration
Previously, Elsete was the Vice President of Operations at Wilkinson O'Grady. Wilkinson O’Grady, a global equity and bond manager founded in 1972, was acquired by Fiera Capital Corporation in October 2013 and changed its name to Fiera Capital Inc. in October 2015. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for Lord Abbett & Co. in Institutional Accounting and for Fiserv Securities in Mutual Fund Accounting.
She received her BSBA from Pennsylvania State University and MBA from Felician University.
Lindsay Blitstein, CFA
Lindsay joined Wilkinson O'Grady as a Securities Analyst in 2012. Wilkinson O’Grady, a global equity investment manager founded in 1972 with over 2 billion in assets under management, was acquired by Fiera Capital Corporation in October 2013. As a member of the Investment Committee, she evaluates current portfolio holdings and new investment opportunities. Before joining the firm, she served as a research assistant in the French Department at Bates College. Additionally, she interned with Media Matters for America and in the office of Senator Kirsten Gillibrand.
Lindsay received her BA in Politics and French from Bates College and is a CFA charterholder.
Senior Compliance Associate
Faith has 7 years of experience in the financial sector. Prior to joining Fiera Capital, she was a Legal and Compliance Analyst at Capstone Investment Advisors, where she was responsible for all aspects of the firm’s compliance program including SEC, NFA, and AIFMD filings, annual review, compliance testing, monitoring and implementation of employee personal trading and Code of Ethics, proxy voting, class action filings, and cybersecurity risk assessment. Faith is also a former NFA Compliance Examiner. In that capacity, she conducted NFA compliance and financial audits, reviewed marketing materials, analyzed regulatory filings, investigated complaints, and responded to member queries. Previously, Faith was an Associate at BCM Energy Partners; in this role, she was responsible for maintaining corporate records, managing the firm’s annual audit, and regulatory reporting. She also served as a Client Services Assistant at Oppenheimer and Company.
Faith graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Investments from Baruch College. She is Series 3 registered and holds a designation as a Certified Fraud Examiner.
Maria T. Carlson
Senior Vice President, Strategic Integration
Maria was a co-founder and Principal of Samson Capital Advisors LLC, where she also served as Director of Operations and Administration. Samson was a privately-owned investment management firm that was founded in 2004 by senior investment professionals from OFFITBANK, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan. Prior to its acquisition by Fiera Capital, Samson managed over $7 billion in assets in customized fixed income for affluent families and their foundations, endowments and corporations. She was responsible for client and portfolio administration, trade support, and office management. Maria also served as Co-Chief Compliance Officer, ensuring firm-wide compliance. At Fiera Capital, she continues her management role in operations.
Before Samson, she was a Vice President at Wachovia Bank, N.A. serving as the Director of Administration for the OFFIT Investment Group (formerly OFFITBANK), which she joined in 2000. Maria was responsible for portfolio administration and client servicing for the OFFIT Wealth Relationships.
Prior to that Maria was a Vice President at Lazard Asset Management where she directed portfolio administration for a $74 billion global investment advisor with a client base consisting of both high net worth individuals and varied institutional accounts including private and public pension funds and mutual funds. During her eight years with Lazard, Maria was instrumental in the development of procedures for the firm’s global expansion. Maria is on the Advisory Board of the NYU Lutheran Medical Center.
Radiance S. Chapman, CFA
Senior Vice President, Marketing
Prior to its acquisition by Fiera Capital, Radiance served as a Marketing Director at Samson Capital Advisors LLC. Samson was a privately-owned investment management firm that was founded in 2004 by senior investment professionals from OFFITBANK, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan. Samson managed over $7 billion in assets in customized fixed income for affluent families and their foundations, endowments and corporations. As Marketing Director, Radiance worked with clients and advisors on special projects such as strategy development, portfolio reviews, and market analysis. Radiance was also responsible for the firm’s GIPS compliance program, fund administration, and strategic operational and business research and execution. She joined Samson in 2005 as the Marketing Administrator. In this capacity, she focused on consultant and client requests for information and analysis.
Radiance received a BA in International Relations from Brown University in 2005. She is a CFA charterholder.
Manager, Client Services, Institutional Markets
In addition, Jane provides operational support for the team. Prior to joining Fiera Capital, Jane was as a Client Service Associate with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.
Jane graduated from St. Lawrence University with a Bachelor of Arts in Government.
Associate General Counsel
Jill brings more than nine years of diverse legal experience to the US legal team. Prior to joining Fiera Capital, Jill was Senior Counsel for United Retirement Plan Consultants (URPC) in Dublin, Ohio, where she managed a broad range of matters, including corporate structuring, governance, ERISA compliance, strategic relationships, contract management, data and security, and other day-to-day general corporate matters. Prior to joining URPC, during law school, Jill served as a Law Clerk for the Ohio State University Trademark and Licensing Department, where she conducted trademark audits and assisted with trademark enforcement efforts. Prior to attending law school, Jill was a Paralegal for Dechert LLP in New York, where she provided support to the Financial Services and Investment Management practice group.
Jill is a member of the Central Ohio Association of Corporate Counsel, where she serves on the board. She received her JD from Ohio State University in 2012 and is a member of the Ohio Bar. She is based in the Dayton office.
Lacey E. Greenwalt, CFA
Assistant Vice President
Lacey joined Samson Capital Advisors LLC in 2011. Samson was a privately-owned investment management firm that was founded in 2004 by senior investment professionals from OFFITBANK, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan. Prior to its acquisition by Fiera Capital, Samson managed over $7 billion in assets in customized fixed income for affluent families and their foundations, endowments and corporations. As a Portfolio Analyst at Samson, Lacey helped develop the firm’s Deployment Capital Strategy and was responsible for research and analysis within the High Grade and Tax Efficient Inflation Protection Strategies.
Prior to joining Samson, Lacey spent two years at Lehman Brothers Holdings, where she worked as an Analyst in the Interest Rate Derivatives group. Prior to joining Lehman, Lacey was an Investment Banking Analyst in the Leveraged Finance Origination & Restructuring Group at Credit Suisse. She also worked as a Summer Investment Banking Analyst at Credit Suisse in the Financial Strategy Group.
Lacey graduated from Duke University in 2008 with a BS in Economics and Political Science. She is a CFA charterholder, a member of the CFA institute, and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA). She is an active member of the New York Junior League and served as a committee vice-chair in 2014-2015.
Majlinda Kamberi, CAIA
Vice President, Research Analyst, Alternative Strategies
Majlinda is a Vice President, Research Analyst in the Alternative Strategies Group. From June 2011 to September 2016, Majlinda worked as a research analyst at Larch Lane Advisors LLC. She started her career at UBS in July 2006 as a hedge fund credit risk analyst, managing the investment bank's counterparty relationships with hedge funds. From April 2008 through June 2011, Majlinda worked in Alternative Investment Solutions, the Fund of Hedge Funds group of UBS Global Asset Management, where she started as an investment analyst and received the title of investment officer in March 2011. In 2006, Majlinda graduated simultaneously with BA and MA degrees in Economics from The City College of the City University of New York, and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
Linda Kleftodimou Smith
Chief Compliance Officer and Regulatory Counsel
Linda brings more than 20 years diverse legal experience, including 10 years of investment management and corporate law practice, to Fiera Capital's U.S. team, with deep expertise in the Investment Advisers Act and other U.S. securities laws relating to investment management. Prior to joining Fiera Capital, Linda was a Senior Principal Consultant for ACA Compliance Group where she provided regulatory advice to leading investment advisers including hedge fund and private equity fund managers. Prior to joining ACA Compliance Group, she managed the New York operations of SEC Compliance Consultants, a compliance consulting firm with U.S. and international clientele ranging from start-ups to established managers with more than $60 billion under management. Prior to her compliance consulting roles, she was an associate at various law firms in New York and the UK, including Dechert LLP, with practice experience covering investment management, general corporate, and M&A.
She is a founding member and co-chair of the Private Investment Funds subcommittee of the New York Bar Association. Linda received her JD from Columbia Law School where she was a Harlan Fiske Scholar. She also holds postgraduate law degrees from the London School of Economics and L’Université Libre de Bruxelles.
Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager
Kamal joined Apex in 1994 as a research analyst. Apex Capital Management was founded in 1987 with a singular focus on growth investing and was employee-owned prior to its acquisition by Fiera Capital. Prior to joining Apex, she was Manager for the Investment Trust of India.
Kamal has a BS in Chemistry, Physics and Math from the University of Madras and an MBA from the University of Madras.
Vice President, Corporate Credit Research
Miriam joined Samson Capital Advisors LLC covering the corporate sector as a Corporate Credit Research Associate in 2015. Samson was a privately-owned investment management firm that was founded in 2004 by senior investment professionals from OFFITBANK, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan. Prior to its acquisition by Fiera Capital, Samson managed over $7 billion in assets in customized fixed income for affluent families and their foundations, endowments and corporations. At Fiera Capital she will continue supporting the corporate selection process for high quality taxable fixed income strategies for foundations, endowments, pensions and non-taxable portfolios.
Before joining Samson, Miriam was responsible for fixed income and equity research at the New York State Insurance Fund. Prior to joining the fund, Miriam was the primary analyst at TIAA-CREF, where she covered investment grade credit, emerging markets and mortgage-backed securities.
Miriam has a BA from New York University and an MBA from Fordham Graduate School of Business.
Vice President, Head of Client Engagement
Colleen Nichols joined Fiera Capital Inc. in 2017 and brings over 20 years of financial industry experience to the Client Engagement team. Previously, Colleen was the Director of Client Services and Reporting at Nuveen, an operating division of TIAA Global Asset Management. There, she managed a team of more than 20 people responsible for servicing 250 institutional and individual investors across multiple products and vehicles. Colleen led client service support automation efforts, and concentrated on reassessing processes for efficiency and best practices to continually improve service levels and scalability. She successfully merged service teams across multiple affiliates.
Prior to Nuveen, Colleen was a Senior Business Analyst/Compliance Practice Lead at IntegriDATA Business & Technology Solutions, LLC. Before her time at IntegriDATA, Colleen spent 3 years at Legg Mason. While at Legg Mason, she served as Vice President, Compliance Manager, where she oversaw Compliance policy, due diligence reviews, and board reporting. Prior to Legg Mason, Colleen served as Vice President of Citigroup’s Asset Management team for 7 years. While at Citigroup, she managed a team of compliance professionals and oversaw guideline monitoring processes and automation. Previously, Colleen served as Manager of Custody Services at OFFITBANK for 3 years.
Colleen studied Psychology at CUNY – College of Staten Island.
Associate, Direct Client Investments Group
Josefa joined Fiera Capital in September of 2016. Prior to joining Fiera Capital, Josefa worked at Legal & General Investment Management America, managing relationships for their institutional client base across fixed income, liability-driven investment strategies and equity index strategies. Josefa also worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Fixed Income Capital Markets group, where she assisted in the origination, structuring and execution of investment grade debt transactions for corporate Fortune 500 companies.
Josefa received her BS in Finance in 2010 from Lehigh University and her MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business in 2015.
Judy Wesalo Temel
Senior Vice President, Director of Credit Research
Judy was a co-founder and Principal of Samson Capital Advisors LLC, where she was also the Director of Credit Research and a member of the Investment Committee. Samson was a privately-owned investment management firm that was founded in 2004 by senior investment professionals from OFFITBANK, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan. Prior to its acquisition by Fiera Capital, Samson managed over $7 billion in assets in customized fixed income for affluent families and their foundations, endowments and corporations. At Fiera Capital she continues to have the same responsibilities for heading the credit approval and oversight process for the firm. She oversees the development of credit policy, databases and other tools to manage the credit risk of clients’ portfolios invested in municipal and corporate issuers. Judy is the author of The Fundamentals of Municipal Bonds, 5th Edition, the most widely used book about the municipal bond business. She is quoted frequently in the media and has lectured and written extensively about municipal credit and other aspects of the market.
Judy was a Vice President at Goldman, Sachs & Co from 1980-1997, where she was responsible for the credit analysis of state and local governmental and revenue bond issuers, higher education, health care and non-profit institutions, utilities and all other revenue bond issuers. Judy had extensive interaction with the issuers, rating agencies, bond insurers, financial advisors and counsel. Her perspectives on credit influenced decisions on underwriting and trading both at the broker-dealer side and on the asset management side. Prior to joining Goldman, she worked at Lehman Brothers and the New York City Comptroller.
Judy is a member of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Inspector General Management Advisory Board and MSRB EMMA Development Advisory Group. She has also served as a Board Member of the New York City Municipal Water Finance Authority.
Judy served as Chair of Cornell Alumnae Council and as an Administrative Board Member of the Cornell University Council. She is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts, The Economic Club of New York and MAGNY.
Judy received her BS from Cornell University and an MPA from New York University.
Mary L. Walsh, CPA
Senior Vice President, Finance and Human Resources
Mary was a Principal at Samson Capital Advisors LLC, where she was also the Controller, Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Human Resources. Samson was a privately-owned investment management firm that was founded in 2004 by senior investment professionals from OFFITBANK, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan. Prior to its acquisition by Fiera Capital, Samson managed over $7 billion in assets in customized fixed income for affluent families and their foundations, endowments and corporations. As Chief Compliance Officer, she was responsible for the oversight of Samson’s compliance program. At Fiera Capital, she continues her management roles in the finance and human resources areas.
Prior to Samson, Mary was a Senior Vice President and member of the Management Committee of OFFITBANK where she was head of the Human Resources Department. She was with OFFITBANK from 1989 through 2003. During her tenure at OFFITBANK, Mary was also the Assistant Controller and Director of Internal Audit.
Prior to joining OFFITBANK, Mary was a Manager at Ernst and Young where she worked in the audit department specializing in the non-profit and financial services industries.
Mary is a member of the Board of Advisors for Siena College. She received her BS in Accounting from Sienna College in 1984 and is a certified public accountant.
Associate General Counsel
Alina brings almost six years of diverse legal and compliance experience to the U.S. legal team. Prior to joining Fiera Capital, Alina was an associate in the bank finance group at White & Case in New York where she represented financial institutions, sponsors and corporate borrowers on a wide range of domestic and cross-border financing matters, including leveraged and investment grade acquisition financings, asset-based financings and general corporate lending transactions. Prior to joining White & Case, Alina was an associate in the legal and compliance group of GSO Capital Partners LP, the credit arm of The Blackstone Group in New York where she handled a variety of matters, including investment adviser compliance, product formation, and general corporate.
Nelly C. Xavier
Senior Vice President, Head of Advisors and Family Offices
Nelly has 16 years of experience in the investment management industry. Nelly was a Marketing Director at Samson Capital Advisors LLC prior to its acquisition by Fiera Capital in 2015. She joined Samson in 2005 and was responsible for developing and maintaining private client and advisor relationships, as well as developing Samson’s strategic marketing plan.
Prior to joining Samson, Nelly was a member of Evergreen Investments’ institutional marketing group, where her responsibilities included developing marketing processes and maintaining product positioning across all distribution channels for fixed income strategies. Nelly began her career as an Investment Management Analyst for Smith Barney’s Consulting Group, where she was responsible for investment manager due diligence and the analytical and technical support for new business development.
Nelly is a board member for Up Academy Charter School of Boston and Up Academy Charter School of Dorchester.
She graduated from Loyola University with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Prior to its acquisition by Fiera Capital, Luisa served as a Marketing Analyst at Samson Capital Advisors LLC. Her responsibilities at Samson included customized reporting, research and analysis, including performance attribution. She also was involved in maintaining the firm’s GIPS compliance program, RFPs, databases, questionnaires, and marketing materials. Previously, Luisa interned at Geller & Company where she worked in the office of the CEO. Before that, she interned at Precision Trading Corp where she conducted market research on Latin America.
Luisa received her BA in International Relations from Fordham University.
